Dear members and Weiqi lovers! We are going to have a Weiqi Talk in City Clubhouse on the 8th May 2010, 5pm onwards. The talk will be conducted by Mr. Yang Jin Hua (Weiqi Professional 6Dan) and Ms. Cho Mikyung (Weiqi Professional 3Dan) from Korea. The main topics to be covered in the Talk will include: 1) The development of Opening Strategies in latest Professional Games and competitions. 2) The exciting game reviews between Chang Hao(9P) and Lee Sedol(9P) in the recent BC Cup held in Korea! (1)        比赛日期与时间：   6月25日 (星期五)1300-1830      第一轮至第二轮                                            6月26日         (星期六)1100-1500      第三轮至第五轮                                            6月27日         (星期天)0900-1230      第六轮至第七轮 (2)        地点：    Iluma Shopping Centre Central Atrium（靠近武吉士地铁站）                                                 (3)        参赛形式：   个人和团体   (4)        组别：    公开组－在籍中学生                            初中组－在籍中一、中二学生   (5)        报名费：     每人 $5 （2010年6月18日截止报名）   (6)        奖励：     a.初中组的前8名棋手，公开组的前12名棋手将获颁奖杯。                             b.各组的参赛学校之前三名最佳成绩者的分数将算作该校的团体成绩。各组的前4名学校将获颁团体奖杯。公开组冠军队伍将获颁楸枰杯。                             c.所有赢6-7盘棋的参赛选手将获得金品证书，应5盘棋获得银品证书，赢4盘棋获得铜品证书。    (7)       比赛规则：         a.                  采用瑞士制。 b.                  每方限时45分钟，超时判负 c.                   迟到者将自动损失自由时间，迟到超过十分钟者作弃权论。 d.                  参赛者必须穿校服参赛。 e.                  任何缺席而未请假者当弃权论。 f.                    如有其他纠纷，裁判有权作最后决定。 g.                  成功报名的棋手将会由电邮通知。6月18日以后参赛名单将会在www.weiqi.org.sg 给与最后检查。 h.                  比赛当天不能够更改名单。 参赛表格可在此下载（请点击这里）。

The top 4 schools will receive team trophies and Qiuping Cup will be awarded to the winner team in Open Group. §         Any player who wins 6-7 games will be awarded Gold certificates, those who win 5 games will be awarded Silver certificates and those who win 4 games will be awarded Bronze certificates. Rules              ·        The competition will be conducted using SWISS System. ·        A free time of 45 minutes will be allocated for each player in each game. Any player who used up all his/her playing time will automatically lose his/her game. ·        Any player who is late for 10 minutes will automatically lose the game. ·        Participants are to be dressed in school uniforms. ·        Any absent participant who does not inform the judge will automatically lose the game. ·        For any dispute, the judge will make the final decision. ·        Acknowledgement email will be sent to the registrants and by 18th June 2010 the official namelist will be put up on www.weiqi.org.sg website for final checking.
