We'd like to apologise for the excessive delay, but the minutes of the 2013 AGM are now finally available online, via the Members Area.

AGM on Saturday

You are reminded that the BGA's AGM is on Saturday evening (1st March), at the British Go Congress in Bognor Regis, starting at 19:30.

If you have not registered for the British Go Congress or EYGC and wish to attend please email eygc @ britgo.org, otherwise you will have to pay Butlin's day fee to enter the site.

The short Annual General Meeting of the British Go Association was held at 20:00 on the Saturday evening of the British Go Congress in Cambridge.

AGM Report

The BGA AGM was held on the evening of Saturday 10th April 2010 at Teviot Row House in Edinburgh.

The newly elected officers and Council members are:

President: Jon Diamond, Treasurer: Simon Mader, Secretary: Jonathan Chin, Auditor: Alison Bexfield.

Council Members: Edwin Brady, Brian Brunswick, John Collins, Geoff Kaniuk, Toby Manning.

Congratulations to all those elected.

AGM Summary 2013

The BGA AGM was held during the British Go Congress at Stevenage between 18:45 and 19:45 on 6th April.

Annual Awards to be initiated

Like some other sports organisations we have decided to initiate some British Go Association awards in order to encourage players and organisers. We have selected the following categories for this year:

BGA Membership Drive 2012

This year, the BGA is making a concerted effort to attract new players to the game of go by encouraging new go clubs to form in Universities and Colleges. We are asking as many as possible of our existing go clubs to consider sponsoring a new club in their local University or College by running a “go stall” at the “Freshers’ Fair” event in October, and helping any interested students to set up a new Go club and get it established.

The BGA is continuing its regular activities, such as Membership Administration, the Youth Grand Prix and the BGJ, however Council has been discussing what and how to prioritise our development activities for 2012 and this is what we've come up with:

British Go Association AGM

The 2014 AGM for the British Go Association will be held on 1st March 7:30pm as part of the British Go Congress at Butlins Resort, Bognor Regis

Any members with motions for inclusion on the Agenda are requested to send them to the Secretary by 15th January.
