Pro-visit

Miss Kazuko Shoji visited London from the Nihon Kiin in October. In two simultaneous 5 on 1 displays she only lost to Francis Roads (by resignation) and to Tony Atkins (by 1 point).

Feng Yun

We hope to have Miss Feng Yun in Britain for the first three months of 1995 while she attends an English Class. She is Chinese pro 7-dan and is hoping to arrange some teaching. She will arrive with another pro and some amateurs for the London Open.

London Open

This year we are pleased to have HITACHI sponsorship again. The venue is the same as in recent years: The Roundhouse, Ronalds Road in Highbury. 1000 pounds in prize money. Many foreign players are expected. Pros available for analysis.

Matthew Macfadyen in Japan

Our top home-grown player, Matthew Macfadyen 6 dan from Leamington, is currently in Japan studying go teaching techniques at the Nihon Kiin. Recently he was a game recorder at the Womens' World Amateur Championships. Our representative, Alison Cross the artist from London, was placed 19th with 3/8. Miss Sato of Japan was the winner.
