Some David Kings who play Go

Three members of the British Go Association are called David King. Naturally, this causes some confusion. To make things worse, they are all (at the time of writing, September 1999) graded at 1-kyu.

Dr. David Jonathan King has connections with Glasgow, Milton Keynes, and Basingstoke. He uses several email addresses: <David.King@motorola.com> <bdk001@email.mot.com> <D.J.King@open.ac.uk> <gnik@dcs.gla.ac.uk>. He is a research engineer. He plays on go servers as 'gnik'.

David Michael King is a member of Swindon Go Club. His telephone number is 01793-521625. His email address is <davidking@enterprise.net>. He is a self-employed computer programmer.

David E. King was British under-18 Go Champion in 1996 and 1997. He was at Brackenhale School. He seems to have entered no Go tournaments recently.

Professor David Anthony King is the Master of Downing College, Cambridge. As it happens, this college is the Alma Mater of a former BGA President, and of its webmaster. He is University Professor of Chemistry, specialising in surface chemistry; and the Chief Scientific Advisor to the British government. As far as we are aware, he does not play Go.
