Three Peaks

Tournament Type:
5-round McMahon tournament. Time limits 50 minutes with increasing overtime (20/5, 30/5, 40/5, 40/5 etc)
The Commodore, Grange-over-Sands
LA11 6DY
Grange is 20 minutes from junction 36 on the M6 – follow the signs for Barrow then Grange. There is also a mainline station about 5 minutes walk from the Commodore Inn. The Commodore Inn is just off to the left of Main Street before going up the steep hill to the clock tower. Parking is a problem. There is room for only 1 or 2 cars at the Inn. There is a public car park next to the Inn but it is expensive for all day parking. Street parking is limited to 1 hour. Best is to park at your accommodation or drive out west of town to find derestricted street parking (about 15 minutes walk back).

Weekend McMahon event held in Northe England

Originally held in The Marton Arms in Thornton in Lonsdale, which was then owned by Go player Tim Hazleden. It continued for several years there after Tim's tragic death and raised money for local charities. Eventually it had to find a new location and moved via another pub, which closed shortly thereafter, to the Commodore Inn in Grange-over-Sands.

The Commodore has a few rooms for B&B. Contact the Inn direct. There are many hotels and B&Bs in Grange and the surrounding area. All details can be found from the Grange tourist website Registration by 10:45 Saturday. Prize giving 15:15 Sunday.

For 2016 either a new organiser or new venue is required as Bob Bagot is moving away from Grange.
