The Webmaster is responsible for the overall maintenance of the website. This policy statement describes the policy which he follows, and lists those who are responsible for sections of the site.
Maintains the day to day contents of the website.
Collects news and maintains the news section of the website.
Maintains the BGA's club list and club map as shown on the website.
The CD Editor maintains the BGA Go resources CD ROM: a single, easy to use source of information about Go that can be used in promotional and teaching activities.
Among the information it contains are: introductions to the game, problems, professional games, free and shareware Go playing software, images of Go and help for club organisers and promoters. You can browse the information at your leisure and install the software without having to access the Internet. In addition, the disc contains a complete copy of the BGA web sited.
The CD ROM was typically updated every 6 months until 2007. The CD editor welcomes suggestions of material to include in future editions, either of your own work or items produced by others. The copyright holder's permission is required before anything can be included on the disc.
The CD ROM may be freely copied and distributed without charge provided that the copyright notice is also included. If you wish to copy or use the items on the CD ROM in any other way you should contact the appropriate copyright holder for their permission.
Maintains a list of those BGA members who wish to receive the AGA eJournal using this form on the BGA website; and distributes the newsletter to them each week.
Edits the junior section of the website, including the lists contained thereon.
Keeps the BGA website's index up to date.
Administers the Gotalk email list, checking for bouncing addresses and incorrectly rejected messages.
Organises the BGA's online Go leagues.
