Same venue and format as last year
Bristol Go Club is pleased to announce that the 38th Wessex Go Tournament will be held at
The JN Fear Institute, 30 High Street, Keynsham, Bristol, BS31 1DQ on Sunday 28th October 2007.
As usual this is the day that the clocks go back.
Keynsham is easy to reach from the M4. At Exit 19 turn onto the M32 and take Exit 1 (almost immediate). Take first exit from roundabout onto Bristol Ring Road A4174. Stay on the ring road until it meets the A4 between Bristol and Bath. Go straight on to enter Keynsham. Or leave M4 at Exit 18, follow directions towards Bath, but at roundabout turn right onto A420 and left onto A4147 in due course to join the above route. There is a church on the corner of Station Road: pass it on your left and then swing round to the right and park. Ample parking, currently free on Sundays. Keynsham Station is 5 minutes walk from the hall, but check Sunday services.
This is a three round, even game competition, with 60 minutes each on the clock. Overtime will be 30 stones in the first 5 minutes and 60 stones in each subsequent 5 minute period. Prizes will be awarded to the players with the highest number of wins. The overall winner will receive the Wessex Trophy. A team prize will also be awarded (teams of 4 to 7 members).
