GIFGUIDE.TXT for mixed size tiny GIFs ============ This file describes the multitudinous mini GIFs used to display a go board. Each stone or point is formed from either one or two GIFs. Most are formed from one gif. Only stones with two digit numbers in are formed from two half-point gifs - the left and the right half. All GIFs have a three letter file name followed by the ".gif" extension. GIFs are 20 or 10 pixels wide by 20 pixels high. Black stones: Main B?? (B for BLACK) Right halves C?? This is a transparent gif of the same size as a half GIF. It permits the production of non-rectangular boards and also permits vertical alignment of two diagrams of different heights in a table. Do not include any spaces or newlines between GIFs or between a GIF and an HTML markup. A file "BD19X19.TXT", a raw empty 19*19 board in HTML, is included here. If you want to break a line, do it at the space within the IMG markup (between IMG and SRC). ====== To permit reference to be made to various markings, extra gifs have been made for insertion in descriptive text. These are a different size and have a transparent background. Typical usage in a HTML file: triangle square circle diamond ==================================================================== A list of the (215) gifs made so far: ___ ARE ARN ARS ARW GNW GN_ GNE GW_ GMD GE_ GSW GS_ GSE GHC (GHC gif updated feb99) B__ W__ GTR BTR WTR GSQ BSQ WSQ GCI BCI WCI GDI BDI WDI G~A B~A W~A G~B B~B W~B G~C B~C W~C G~D B~D W~D G~E B~E W~E G~F B~F W~F G~G B~G W~G G~H B~H W~H G~I B~I W~I G~J B~J W~J G~K B~K W~K G~L B~L W~L G~M B~M W~M G~N B~N W~N G~O B~O W~O G~P B~P W~P G~Q B~Q W~Q G~R B~R W~R G~S B~S W~S G~T B~T W~T G~U B~U W~U G~V B~V W~V G~W B~W W~W G~X B~X W~X G~Y B~Y W~Y G~Z B~Z W~Z G~0 B~0 W~0 G~1 B~1 W~1 G~2 B~2 W~2 G~3 B~3 W~3 G~4 B~4 W~4 G~5 B~5 W~5 G~6 B~6 W~6 G~7 B~7 W~7 G~8 B~8 W~8 G~9 B~9 W~9 BA0 WA0 BA1 WA2 BA3 WA4 BA5 WA6 BA7 WA8 BA9 WB0 BB1 WB2 BB3 WB4 BB5 WB6 BB7 WB8 BB9 WC0 G0_ H_0 B0_ C_0 W0_ X_0 G1_ H_1 B1_ C_1 W1_ X_1 H_2 B2_ C_2 W2_ X_2 H_3 B3_ C_3 W3_ X_3 H_4 B4_ C_4 W4_ X_4 H_5 B5_ C_5 W5_ X_5 H_6 B6_ C_6 W6_ X_6 H_7 B7_ C_7 W7_ X_7 H_8 B8_ C_8 W8_ X_8 H_9 B9_ C_9 W9_ X_9 ==================================================================== GIFs created by Steve Bailey.
