British Go Association Rotherfield Peppard 2009 TOURNAMENT RULES STYLE: The Rotherfield Peppard is a 3 round McMahon tournament conforming to BGA guidelines. KOMI: Komi is 7½ points awarded during counting at the end of the game. HANDICAP: Where required, handicap is McMahon score difference minus one. TIME LIMITS: Sixty minutes per player. OVERTIME: The Canadian overtime system with 20 stones in 5 minutes is used for the first overtime period. Thereafter the number of stones increases by 10 for each 5 minute period. Once you have played all the required stones, reset the clock. You lose on time if you have not played all your stones in the time period. LATE: You lose by default if you are 30 minutes or more late after the start of the round. If you do arrive late you must inform the referee of your presence, whether or not your clock has not been started. DISPUTES: In case of any dispute, consult the referee. If onlookers notice ANY irregularity they should consult with the referee and MUST NOT interfere in the game in any way whatsoever. WINNER: The winner of the Rotherfield Peppard is the player with the highest final rank determined by McMahon Score, then SOS. Rick Pip (Tournament Director)
