European Youth Go Championships 2014: How to enter

Note that players in the top group are expected to play in all rounds to compete for the titles. For players lower in the draw it is possible, say, to not play the Monday games.

To register for the European Youth Go Congress you need to fill in the EYGC entry form for each participant - Team Leader, Player or Other (non-playing). There is no entry fee for playing in the EYGC and non-players, such as team captains and parents, do not have to pay anything either.

However if any adult member of your team wishes to enter any aspect of the British Go Congress (Lightning or Open tournaments or the Teaching event) then they need to enter the BGC events and also pay separately using our Paypal form. You do not need to have a Paypal account but can pay using a normal Mastercard or Visa debit or credit card. All payments are in £ Sterling (UKP) and will be converted into your local currency by Paypal or your card provider.

Players in the EYGC do not need to fill in a BGC entry form to take part in the British Lightning. This can be entered on arrival on the Friday on payment of the concessionary fee (£2) in cash.

The Pair Go Tournament is free entry to all team members.

In addition if you are planning to stay on-site at Butlins you will also need to book your accommodation. Please see the accommodation page to do this. In most cases you should be able to do this just once to cover all participants in your party.

Note: You will need to register with us (or prove you are a Go player at the Butlin's gate house to obtain entry to the site), otherwise Butlins will charge you their normal daily admission charge for those not staying at Butlins.
