Welcome to our Junior pages!

If you are a teacher, parent or junior club organiser, please have a look at the information for teachers. If you are a complete beginner, have a look at the rules, and you might like to download the free Go program Igowin from Smart Games. If you are just learning you might like to practice the capture rule by playing "Capture Go" (there's an online app on this page or you could download one).

We often run events for young people. These include British Youth Go Championships (list of Champions), UK Go Challenge and the Youth Camp and online play and training.

In 2014 we hosted the European Youth Go Championship (results and gallery) and sometimes take a team to it in other years, such as 2020 in Croatia.

We have a team in the European Youth Go Team Championships played each winter over the internet.

Starting in June 2020 we played a match against Chinese children and from November 2020 a match against Hong Kong children.
